Consolidated Gold Mine

Hannah was not sure what to do lol

We each got a pan and had to dip it in water for 15 to 20 minutes

Then we took it to a miner who finished it up

And in the bottom of your pan was GOLD! Real, true gold!

After we became "rich" we took a tour of the old mine

while on the tour we learned a lot of interesting facts and got to see cool tools they use to use. This was a drill they used to chisel holes inside the wall so the could put dynamite in it!

At the end of the tour we got to walk thru a door that was in a prison in England in the early 1900s; Captain Kidd walked thru that same door on his way to the gallows! I had a picture with the door but my computer was being stubborn so I only got the window picture on my blog, but I will post the door a little later.
